We supply rough blocks to factories around the world. We have full traceability of materials extracted in our quarries. A unique block number will follow each block of stone all the way from quarry to the finished product, ensuring the right quality and colour for each project.

It is important to be aware of the difference between the colour and quality classifications of our blocks.

Dark (HQ)

Bright blue crystals and uniform colour.

Classic

Slightly lighter background colour, lighter blue crystals.

Commercial

Lighter background colour compared to Classic, and less coloured crystals.

LUNDHS Blue®

Dark (HQ)

Dark blue background colour with blue crystals.

Classic

Slightly lighter background colour and less blue appearance.

Commercial

Lighter background colour compared to Classic, and less coloured crystals.

LUNDHS Emerald®

Dark (HQ)

Dark black background colour, and lustrous blue crystals.

1st Choice

Brown background colour with blue, turquoise and brown crystals. May contain some black or red/brownish thin veins. May contain black spots.

2nd. Choice

More black or red/brownish thin veins and black spots. Can also have green veins.

3rd. Choice

In general as described as for 2nd. choice, with even more veins and spots.

None

No differentiation in colour - a very homogenuus material.

LUNDHS Ocean®

Dark (HQ)

Dark grey-green background with small blueish crystals.

Classic

Slightly lighter background colour and less blue appearance.

Commercial

Lighter background colour compared to Classic, and less coloured crystals.

No differentiation in colour - a very homogenous material.

Size and Quality

Natural stones from Lundhs are categorised by material, quality, colour and block size. The price of each block is determined by the combination of all these factors.

1st. Choice

Blocks without any defect.

2nd. Choice Extra Fine

A small defect in the cutting direction or across a corner. The drawing of the block is an illustration of a possible defect for this quality.

2nd. Choice Selected

Somewhat open structure, a minor defect across a corner or a defect on one side of the block. The drawing of the block is an illustration of a possible defect for this quality.

2nd. Choice

One defect going more across the cutting direction. The drawing of the block is an illustration of a possible defect quality.

3rd. Choice

Two defects going more across the cutting direction. The drawing of the block is an illustration of a possible defect for this quality.

Category 1

Blocks with length up to 179 cm x free height.

Category 2

Blocks with length between 180-239 cm x free height.

Category 3

Blocks with length from 240 cm x height below 120 cm.

Category 4

Blocks with length between 240-269 cm x height from 120 cm.

Category 5

Blocks with length from 270 cm and height from 120-169 cm.

Category 6

Blocks with length from 280 cm and height from 170 cm
